What scales do you cater for?
We produce custom decals for all scales of model, garden, and ride-on railways, including 009, 4mm, 16mm, Gauge 1, 5" gauge, 7.25" gauge, We even work on 2ft Narrow Gauge, and Standard Gauge heritage railway applications!
And it doesn't have to just be for railways either, we can create custom decals for other projects too.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Turnaround time is usually 14 days minimum. Please note that during busy periods or after railway shows, this may be longer as we're a one-person operation and all decals are printed to order.
Do you keep stock items?
No, all our decals are printed to order. This means every set is freshly made specifically for you, ensuring the highest quality and allowing for customisation.
Can you create decals from old photographs or sketches?
Absolutely! We can work from old photos, sketches, or even rough ideas. We'll draw directly from your images and use our extensive reference materials to ensure accurate sizing and details.
Do you provide a proof before printing?
Yes, for fully custom orders we provide digital proofing and mockups before printing so you can see exactly what you're getting.
What materials do you use?
For small scales, we use super thin waterslide decal paper with UV-resistant inks. For larger scales, we use thicker waterslide decal paper, print-and-cut, or single colour vinyl for added durability.
Can you help me choose the right livery for my model?
Yes! We offer design consultation to help you select historically accurate or even fully custom liveries and lettering. We maintain an extensive database of historical railway company liveries and lettering styles, backed up by a large collection of reference books.
Do you provide application instructions?
Yes! Every order comes with a printed set of instructions, and you can also find detailed guidance in the "Applying Our Decals" section of our website.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Around 30-40% of our customers are based outside the UK.
Do you offer bulk or trade discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount for traders and heritage railways on large orders.
